We know so much. It’s time to do!
The highest form of anything is to become it!
Start becoming the scriptures!
“Ezra was a remarkable man, a priest of the line of Aaron. The king granted him all that he asked. Wouldn’t we like to have that written about us? What kind of man was this, whom a heathen gentile king regarded so highly that he gave Ezra anything that he asked for? The secret of this man’s character was: ‘Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord, and to do it.’ As a result, Ezra could ask anything of the king and the king would grant his request. This is something, isn’t it? We may be Bible students, but are we Bible doers?”
Ezra 7:6,10 (AMP):
6 this Ezra went up from Babylon. He was a scribe skilled in the Law (the five books) of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given; and the king granted him everything that he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.
10 For Ezra had set his heart (resolved) to study and interpret the Law of the Lord, and to practice it and teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.
“Ezra set his heart firmly toward studying, doing and teaching. He prepared his heart to seek, and to do. After you have sought, there has to be a doing. Doing means to do something over and over again. The emphasis is not the knowing, but the doing. One who hears, and does, builds his house on the rock. The Word is not something you merely know, it is something you become – you become the example. The emphasis is not hearing, but doing. When you hear and do, then your way will be prosperous. Our motive to study His Word is to conform to the image of the pattern Son. The highest form of anything is to become it. It is time to become, and be what God wants us to be!”
